Bullying and harassment policy

University of British Columbia

The University of British Columbia (UBC) bullying and harassment policy is a direct reflection and consequence of the British Columbia human rights code and the Worker’s Compensation Act. Note that these acts are under civil law, i.e., they do not govern criminal acts.

University of Toronto

The University of Toronto (U of T) workplace harassment policy is a direct reflection and consequence of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Ontario Human Rights Code. As noted on the U of T harassment site, there are a number of related policies governing workplace harassment, including criminal harassment.

McGill University

McGill’s Policy on Harassment and Discrimination is a direct reflection and consequence of the Québec Labour Standards Act, the Civil Code of Québec, the Québec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.
